The Elizabeth Manor Guest House is such a fantastic place to stay. The moment you walk in the front door you feel at home. We stayed in two different rooms (beginning of trip and end of trip) and were super satisfied with both rooms we stayed in. There was a great variety of choices for breakfast, Rob and Brenda are AMAZING and so helpful and friendly, and we loved how cozy the rooms were. There's also laundry on site which is a nice perk if you need it!

When I first reached out to the Elizabeth Manor and got in touch with the host Rob, we spoke briefly on the phone and I knew this would be a great place to stay. From the rooms and accommodation to the breakfast and good conversation, this place does not disappoint. We enjoyed it so much on the first few nights that we booked it for our return to St. John’s before flying home. The location is perfect, nice and quiet but right on the edge of down town St. John’s. You can’t go wrong with the Elizabeth manor and the hosts Rob & Brenda who treat everyone like a friend. We will be back!!! Thanks so much, Jeff & Jill Coles

We spent two nights at the Elizabeth Manor at the end of our road trip across Newfoundland. It is a beautiful older home Rob and Brenda run with obvious care. Self serve check in was seamless. We stayed in the third floor Petty Harbour room which required a good hike up the two flights of stairs. Unfortunately, the first night was a rare muggy, warm one so the room was uncomfortably hot. We were grateful for the fan which we ran all night and we did open windows to get some airflow. One of the window screens was torn but our concerns about letting in flies turned out to be unfounded. The second night the weather cooperated and was much more comfortable. We did also have a problem with the shower drain clogging but Rob was quick to remedy that for us. Breakfast was also self serve and consisted of coffee/juice, cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fresh oranges, biscuits and toast. We thoroughly enjoyed it both mornings sitting out on their lovely deck. We enjoy walking/hiking so the Elizabeth Manor was walking distance for us to visit Signal Hill (one trail to the Visitor Centre and then on to the Cabot Tower on the way up and the scenic North Head trail on the way home), The Rooms and the historic downtown/waterfront area.

We stayed in the downstairs room with 2 queen beds, sleeper sofa, and private bath. We were very comfortable, especially with fans to keep us cooler as we slept. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of options. We reserved through Air B&B so had some communication issues about entering and room arrangements, but Rob resolved everything very quickly. We highly recommend as long as you reserve directly through their business website.

Spent 5 days in the Battle Harbour Executive Apt. Was great having a separate entrance, private patio space and easy access to the main kitchen for breakfast. Wonderful location allowing us to walk everywhere. Highly recommend Elizabeth Manor if staying in St.John’s.

Rob was the ultimate host. Absolutely loved his stories. The house is 120 years old and is brimming with character. The room we had was huge. The location is really convenient to downtown without the noise. Definitely more than a standard continental breakfast . You need to stay here!

The Elizabeth Manor Hotel was just amazing! Thank you for having us on such late notice! The owner, Rob (I believe his name was) welcomed us on a last minute booking and gave us so many great recommendations! George street is in walking distance and super easy to get around. Our room was large, spacious, classy and clean! I loved that it had an old school charm! I also enjoyed your wonderful line of beauty products that were made available to us in our room! In addition to all of this, we made good use of the backyard and we were welcomed to some food in the fridge. It felt like a nice combination of hotel and Airbnb. Thank you again! I will have to come back on my next trip to Newfoundland. -Jennifer from Kitchener-Waterloo , Ontario

I loved my stay at the Elizabeth Manor Guest House, it is very close to the downtown area, and the complementary breakfast is pretty decent.
